B’nai Israel is most fortunate to have Rabbi Chaim Silver and his wife Naomi as our spiritual leaders. Their enthusiasm, dedication, personal warmth, love of Torah and the Jewish people shine through.
Rabbi Silver's background includes 10 years of learning in some of Israel's most prestigious institutions. He spent four years studying under the noted Rabbi Yitzchak Soloveichik in Jerusalem. Rabbi Silver came to Norfolk from Phoenix where he served as rabbi of Young Israel of Phoenix for nearly 10 years. Rabbi Silver, his wonderful wife Naomi, and their six children have greatly enriched our community.
