B'nai Israel Sisterhood

The Bnai Israel Sisterhood, which was established when the congregation was formed, attends to the needs of the shul that others might overlook.  The Sisterhood also provides a gift of a Chumash to every bar mitzvah boy or bas mitzvah girl.  The Sisterhood has recently gone under a “rejuvenation” and is planning for many social and educational events for the women of Bnai Israel. The Sisterhood has been the backbone of the community.  We welcome women, of all ages, to join the Sisterhood.

Cemetery Information

The B’nai Israel Cemetery has been refurbished and improved by a committee of dedicated volunteers since 2017. This continues to be a work in progress. Please contact our office for available volunteer opportunities.

Information on those buried in B’nai Israel Cemetery is available at USGENWEB ARCHIVES VIRGINIA.We thank Mrs. Donna Bluemink for keeping our portion of the archive current.

To maintain security, the cemetery is now kept locked, so please contact the office,
